Year-end Roll.
Initially, I wanted my last month for 2011 to be all portraits of important people in my life. But as the December days went by, I realized it was a far too busy month to be able to get my ideas become a reality. And with new things coming in, new clients, new path ( I got a job as an Art Teacher in a University) and the usual holiday obligations, I was just too swamped. So I decided to just let things fall into place. No pressure. My father recently left me his Mamiya RB67, meaning he just wanted me to "borrow" it, (HAH! *evilgrin) and I so badly wanted to try it out. I was itching to use it for my December month. The problem is, I was just not too comfortable with it yet. And I just need to study this new monster. Frankly, it scared the shit out of me! hahaha! So I just didn't force it. Here's me with the Mamiya, testing it out.. VERY HEAVY camera :((
Dice & Pain I know this photo lacks light, but whatever ;)
Two Legends talking
Here are some more other random photos.. That is my last month for 2011. Yes it wasn't a new camera and yes i was late. Why late you ask? Because I felt this urge to slow things down a bit and not be all trigger happy. Im glad i did :) And why not a new camera? Because I found my trust on this one. But hey, everything fell into place when i think about it. everything right here wasn't forced or anything. Learned so many things in this project. One thing i realized: sometimes you just have to take it SLOW to be able to get the visions in your head right. Your subjects WILL get annoyed because of that, but brace yourself for your film's surprises. It has NEVER failed to surprise me. NEVER. I am so glad i did this. A big THANK YOU shout out to the universe for making me realize that i do need to do this project. I can just hug him right now *huuuuuuug!*
Now on to my 2012 project :)
hint: its written all over these photos ;)
